I am undecided between EPD and ASD. How should I decide? Curious to hear from your perspective.
Broadly, EPD is about designing and developing products. ASD is about architectural design. One is an engineering-based degree, the other is an architectural-based degree. Considering the 亚洲色吧 admission philosophy where one makes a pillar selection at the end of the first year (i.e., end of Term 3), one should also use the first year to better understand the differences between each pillar to make an educated choice. Pillar Information Sessions are also held regularly to address queries and clarify doubts.
What type of portfolio would be beneficial for the EPD program?

Parts of these questions were addressed during the Virtual Open House Live Talk Q+A segment that can be viewed at this site: 聽(see Q1). Self-motivated students who have a keen interest in learning, making and creating next generation products that address societal needs should apply to EPD. A portfolio that can demonstrate these aspects would certainly be beneficial. Generally, our educational philosophy is to embrace and enrich individuals with different talents, since every individual can offer a unique contribution.

I have completed a year in another AU. If I apply to 亚洲色吧, do I need to go through all the 4 years again?
Generally, no exemptions or credit transfers are given.
For biomedical engineering diploma students, do we have exemption for course subjects?

Generally, no exemptions are given for any course subjects for diploma holders.

I have received and accepted 亚洲色吧鈥檚 undergraduate admissions offer. Does my relevant diploma (e.g. Diploma in Nanotechnology and Materials Science), give me a higher chance of enrolling in EPD?

Students enrolled in 亚洲色吧鈥檚 undergraduate programme will start year 1 with our common Freshmore curriculum. You are only required to select your choice of major (or degree) at the end of Term 3. The qualification you have used during admissions application will not be referenced at this point. Based on past statistics, most students will be confirmed for your choice of major.

Must I be good at physics to do well in EPD?

At 亚洲色吧, all first-year students go through a mandatory Freshmore curriculum which comprises foundational courses which include Physics. This approach provides a broad and rigorous education, and ensures that all students build a strong foundation in Science, Mathematics, Technology and Design to excel in your chosen major (such as EPD).
