Congratulations to ISTD PhD student Zhao Yunqing who received the Chinese Government Award for Outstanding Self-Financed Students Abroad from Mr Cao Zhongming, Chinese Ambassador to Singapore.

The (¹ú¼ÒÓÅÐã×Ô·ÑÁôѧÉú½±Ñ§½ð) is the highest government award granted by the Chinese government to Chinese doctoral students who study overseas as well as postdoctoral researchers who conduct research and have received doctorates overseas.

Zhao Yunqing conducted research in data-efficient and safe AI, supervised by Associate Professor Ngai-Man (Man) Cheung. The research has led to multiple publications in the most prestigious AI venues such as NeurIPS, CVPR, TIP.
