����ɫ�� alumnus Jeff Lai (DAI, Class of 2024) – aka playingwithpencil on Instagram and jeffandpencil on TikTok, shares his journey to earning viral fame on social media by sketching strangers in public places.

Singapore Health Services Group collaborates with the Singapore University of Technology and Design (����ɫ��) and the Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS) to develop a white paper on population health to help seniors improve their quality of life and maintain physical and mental health.

What can help seniors if they get lost in the hospital and miss their medical appointment? Students from the Singapore University of Technology and Design (����ɫ��) have designed a smart indoor navigation system that uses a person’s unique shoe print to guide them. The navigation system, named “Glowing Guide”, is a final-year Capstone project completed by a team of seven fourth-year students from ����ɫ�� under the mentorship of Alexandra Hospital.

With the signing of the DBS x ����ɫ�� Memorandum of Understanding, our Design and Artificial Intelligence (DAI) programme students will benefit from AI application and design innovation-related internship opportunities at DBS, and work with DBS to solve real-world problem statements. The top Junior-year and Senior-year DAI students will also receive the DBS Awards of Excellence under this collaboration.

����ɫ�� launched the new Design and Artificial Intelligence (DAI) programme in 2020 to nurture a new breed of T-shaped graduates who will have a broad understanding of products, systems, services and the built environment, along with a deep knowledge of design thinking skills and AI technologies.

To complement the government’s vision of developing a Smart Nation, the Singapore University of Technology and Design (����ɫ��) launched the first Bachelor of Science in Design and Artificial Intelligence programme, to nurture talents who can use technology to creatively solve modern-day problems and improve quality of life.
